House Bill: $205 BILLION for American High Speed Rail Act

A bill by Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-WA) and Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) to fund 34 high speed rail projects across America as part of an economic recovery act from the COVID-19 pandemic. $205 billion would be allocated to projects over five years, with incentives for an additional $38 billion in private investment. The proposal would create 1.16 million construction jobs and an additional 4 million non-industry jobs.

INVEST in America Act: $19 BILLION for Passenger Rail

Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) introduced the INVEST in America Act, a transportation spending bill that includes a new $19 billion program, the Passenger Rail Improvement, Modernization and Expansion (PRIME) grant program, devoted entirely to passenger rail improvements, such as high speed rail.
